Beauty Tips to Help You Capture the Crown
By: Liz Everett
From your on-stage competition, to your personal
appearances, never forget that 90% of your communication is
not verbal, it is visual. Being the total package competitor
means that you have to be strong in every area of
competition, from clinching the interview...to great
on-stage technique. But it is your personal presentation,
while you are competing, that will give you that undeniable
essence every winner possesses!
I came up with my Top 5 Beauty Tips and
Techniques after careful thought about what most of your top
competitors have in common. One undeniable quality that I
see over and above presentation is attention to detail in
every area of competition. Apply these tips to every area of
competition at your next pageant to ensure that your
overall presentation is consistent with the image you would
like to portray to the judges.
Top 5 Beauty Tips and
Techniques to Help You Capture the Crown:
1. Identify the products that work for
you!
Skin and hair are your
top priorities when it comes to your initial
impression with the
judges.Be sure to have a back-up beauty kit filled with
the products that
work best for your skin and hair.
2. Seek Professional Advice
Please do not just read the
latest issue of a fashion magazine and think you
have an answer as
to what you need to wear, look like, or the image you
seek to create.
From beauty products to body lines, it would be in your
best
interest to have a
professional opinion from an image or pageantry
consultant you
trust to guide you. Professional advice should be your
first
step, not your last
resort.
3. Give a Little
When it comes to
beauty you may have to get a little outside your comfort
zone to accommodate the changes you may need to make. Do not
judge yourself by normal standards of beauty, instead imagine
the possibilities!
4. Gloss, Gloss and More Gloss
This one is simple ..... Get over it and
gloss it up! A little lip gloss never hurt anybody!
5. Define with a Line
Do not be afraid of eye liner. The saying
goes that the eyes are the windows to the soul so make sure
that you give the judges beautiful windows. Captivating eyes
are a way to capitalize on your stage time.
